This privacy policy applies to the ApplyEdge app and website (hereby referred to as "Application") created by Longsnoot (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a commercial service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The Application uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance user experience and provide certain features. The AI components process the text content of your CV and job descriptions to deliver tailored CV optimisation, cover letter generation, interview tips, and ATS scoring. All AI processing is performed in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable laws. CV and job description content is transmitted securely to our AI processing service and is not retained by the AI provider beyond the duration required to generate your results.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Email address, First name and last name, and Social Media Profile information (via Google Sign-In). The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
When you use the CV optimisation feature, the Application stores the following data in your account:
This data is stored securely in your account to provide the CV history feature, which allows you to view and re-optimise your previous applications. A maximum of 5 most recent optimisation entries are retained per account. Older entries are automatically deleted when new ones are added beyond this limit.
This data is associated with your account and is accessible only to you. It is not shared with third parties except as described in the Third Party Access section below.
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the Application settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data:
The Application offers in-app purchases via Google Play (Android) and Stripe (web). Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play and Stripe respectively. The Service Provider does not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. Only the outcome of a successful payment (credit allocation) is recorded in your account.
You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time by navigating to Settings within the Application and selecting "Delete Account". Upon deletion, the following data is permanently removed:
Account deletion is irreversible. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it (mobile) or ceasing use of the website. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace. You may also delete your account as described above.
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. CV history data (extracted CV text, job descriptions, and optimisation results) is retained as described in the CV and Job Description Data section above. If you would like to delete your data, you may do so via the Account Deletion feature within the Application, or by contacting the Service Provider at applyedge44@gmail.com.
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at applyedge44@gmail.com.
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. User data is stored in Firebase Firestore with security rules that restrict access to authenticated account owners only. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
